Armadillo’s founder began working in the RV industry in the UK in the early 1980s by converting former postal vans into campers for Australian and New Zealand travellers.

The conversions included adding pop-top roofs, ventilation, side windows, new paint inside and out, soft linings, flooring, water tanks, cabinetry, double and bunk beds, appliances like refrigeration and cookers, and soft furnishings. As these campervans were about three years old with low mileage, buyers could travel the UK and Europe comfortably and confidently.

 

When Covid began, we scaled down our SE Qld construction business and embarked on our love of the RV sector, partnering with Chinese manufacturers known for quality engineering, modern manufacturing processes, and strong warranty support.

Team and Technology
